The survey on students’ (attending and not), graduates’ and professors’ opinions about the teaching activities and the support services connected to it is carried out in order to assure a periodical evaluation of the education. This evaluation is based on criteria and indicators, which have been established by ANVUR and with the purpose of empowering the quality assurance system, especially the self-evaluation process.
The Quality Committee organizes and monitors the measurement of the satisfaction levels expressed by students, graduates and professors, as well as by institutions and companies where the students carry out their internships.
In this light, the main results expected by the evaluation of the surveys on students’ opinions are:
• The integration of the monitoring of the quality of the education offered by the Courses and of the support services connected to them and to systematically identify its strengths and weakness, in relation to the expectations and the necessities of each one.
• The improvement of the weakness pointed out by the questionnaires to improve the quality.
Starting from the AY 2013/14 the survey on students’ opinions is on-line and made up by the questionnaires expected by the AVA system (Self-evaluation, Evaluation and Validation) of ANVUR (National Agency for the Evaluation of the University System and Research). The Unity of Staff Quality, Statistics and Evaluation works to collect the students’ opinion through the surveys and is responsible for the statistic elaboration of the collected data and for the annual review of the procedures. Consequently, it takes the necessary corrective actions to improve the procedure, in line with the indications of the Governing Authorities and of the Quality Committee, which has the responsibility to create the different surveys expected by the AVA system.
The Quality Committee sends once a year a Report on the procedure of the survey on students’ opinions about teaching activities and support services to the University Authorities and to the Evaluation Committee.
Within the Annual report expected from the AVA system (ex. D.Lgs. 19/2012, art 12 and 14), the Evaluation Committee judges the survey organization and the ways in which the results may be used from the University.

SURVEY RESULTS
SURVEY ON STUDENTS' OPINIONS ABOUT TEACHING ACTIVITIES
Starting from the AY 2010/11, the University participates in the statistic information system SIS-VALDIDAT. This system has been created by the Department of Statistics at the University of Florence and has already been adopted by other Italian universities. The access to this system for the on-line circulation of the results of the annual survey on students’ opinions is available on the internet. To take view of it, see the section about our University at the page: http://valmon.disia.unifi.it/sisvaldidat/. The system is provided with a protection mechanism, which recognizes the access of the teaching staff in order to grant them the pertinent surfing privileges: beyond the normal consultation, each recognized professor (after the login with the University credentials) can consult the evaluations of his own classes. At any time, he can edit the security clearance for the public consultation of his classes, in full compliance with the existing.
