My research interest is climate variability and predictability at interannual to decadal and longer time scales. A special focus is on Monsoons and their global teleconnections as well as their decadal modulation. Further areas of interest are tropical-extratropical teleconnections and ocean-atmosphere coupling. Research tools/data are the analysis of observations and general circulation model outputs. I am also interested in intermediate complexity ocean-atmosphere coupled modeling.
