Meeting: a roundtrip from intestinal inflammatory diseases to primary immunodeficiencies

Intestinal inflammatory diseases may be a presenting feature of primary immunodeficiencies, in particular when they occur in infancy. The recognition of defective immune functions in chronic inflammation can help unravelling the pathogenesis of intestinal inflammatory diseases.
The focus of this roundtrip will be to explore and discuss shared mechanisms involved in immunodeficiency and inflammation on a multidisciplinary level, involving immunology, genetics, bioinformatics, microbiology and clinics.

The meeting is organized in collaboration with the PhD program in Reproduction and Developmental Sciences at the University of Trieste and it is addressed to clinicians, biologists, bioinformatician, PhD students and junior doctors.
