When:
09/19/2022 - 09/30/2022

From September 10th to September 13th 2022, the Symposium and 57th Inner Ear Biology Workshop was held at the congress venue of Molo IV in Trieste. The conference, which saw the participation of more than 300 researchers from 29 different countries, represents one of the main international meetings on hearing loss and had as its main objective the presentation of the new scientific frontiers regarding pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss.
During the conference, four "Spoendlin" prizes were awarded, reserved for the most promising young researchers involved in the study of hearing loss to recognise their commitment and value within the scientific world. One of the awards was won by a postgraduate student and doctoral student of Medical Genetics from IRCCS "Burlo Garofolo", Beatrice Spedicati, who presented a study aimed at recognising the so-called molecular double diagnoses in patients with genetic hearing loss.
