These new Doctoral Programs regard two strategic sectors in strong expansion, and increasingly playing a strategic role toward innovation. The Ph.D. in “Applied Data Science and Artificial Intelligence” aims at training experts in data science and artificial intelligence, and at providing practical applications for specific sectors such as industry 4.0, or society and economics. Born within the departments of Mathematics and Geosciences, this Ph.D. has a multidisciplinary approach, involving the collaboration of other six departments, among which the one hosting the Ph.D. in “Circular Economy UniTS (CE.TS)”. In this regard, the Ph.D. in “Circular Economy UniTS (CE.TS)” conjugates an international approach, resulting from the collaboration among international universities, lecturers, and students, with attention toward collaborating with the local stakeholders (firms, public entities, research centers). Last but not least, the structure of the Ph.D. is innovative and interdisciplinary, providing three different, yet interconnected curricula.
