UniTS is more and more attractive for PhD students

After the deadline for the submission of applications to PhD courses, the University of Trieste expresses great satisfaction.
This is an exceptional result, – says Alessandro Baraldi, Deputy Rector for Scientific Research and Doctorates – which demonstrates once again how attractive our university is for students who want to reach the highest level of university education.
The numbers speak for themselves: enrolments to PhD courses of which Trieste is in charge have risen from 663 in 2019 to 830 in 2020. The increase rate stands at about 30% for no less than 6 courses, with Physics taking the lion's share with an increase of more than 58%.
The number of international students (coming from 69 different countries around the world) has increased by almost 59%,– continues Baraldi – but we registered a larger number of students also coming from other Italian universities (+19.1%) and our own master's degree courses (+6.6%).

In addition to the high quality of UniTS doctoral courses, which has been confirmed over time, this result is also due to the great effort of dissemination made by the Doctoral Office and UniTs social media managers.
