I currently am a student of the XXXVIII cycle of the PhD course in Circular Economy and my research area is economic symbiosis and waste management in the textile sector. More specifically, I work in cooperation with the multiutility group Hera-Acegasapsamga, which finances my scholarship, and my curriculum combines both my interests in management and economics. At present, I am conducting some studies on consumers’ perceptions (to RFID tags and made in China products) and my PhD project will focus on stakeholders’ mapping and potential synergies with key actors along the textile value chain.
As for my academic background, I attended both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Political Science and International Relations at the University of Bologna. During my university studies, I worked as academic advisor and conducted a traineeship at the Unibo administrative office devoted to Research Development in Social Sciences and Humanities (ARIC-SSH Unit).
In addition, I have been serving as city councillor since 2019, when I was elected at my hometown municipal elections while on outgoing Erasmus mobility in Germany. In 2021 I also successfully attended a project management course with the German advisory company Brainnest and in September 2022 I was among the selected participants for the prestigious EU Summer School Renzo Imbeni.
After performing diversified jobs during my university career, since the beginning of 2022 I have been working as editor and project assistant for InEuropa, an Italian SME active in the field of EU funding which I go on collaborating with during my PhD.
Additionally, since September 2022 I support prof. Bortoluzzi on some activities regarding innovation and entrepreneurship in the context of the NextGenEU project iNEST, as well as for the Growth Design 2023 laboratories of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia digital agency DITEDI.
During my PhD, I am eager to expanding my academic background in economics and management, thus acquiring knowledge and competences to elaborate and concretely apply innovative, sustainable strategies and business models to serve public usefulness purposes.
