In 2001 the Coordinators delegated for Disabilities of the different universities decided to meet in the CNUDD, the University Consultancy for Disability. The CNUDD is the official organ of coordination of the Italian universities for matters relating to disability and, from 2013, for those with specific learning disabilities ( SLD ) too.
The main aims of the CNUDD are the exchange of information and experience among universities and the sharing of some guidelines for the activities of all universities. The goal is to try to respond in the most appropriate way to the needs of disabled students or students with SLD during their university career.
Since July 2001, the CNUDD has been listed among the Commissions of CRUI ( the Conference of Italian University Rectors ) .
