Biografia:
Jenny Bua, MD, MSc: neonatologist consultant at the Institute of Maternal and Child Health, IRCSS Burlo Garofolo, Trieste, Italy since 2010. She has a Master Degree in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She is a certified trainer of Neonatal Resuscitation and director of Burlo’s Neonatal Resuscitation courses. She is a Problem Based Learning tutor for the Promotion and Support of Breastfeeding courses. She is a collaborator of the WHO Collaborating Center for Maternal and Child Health of Trieste, partecipating both to field activities in Low and Middle Income Countries and to research projects. She participated to the revision and preparation of the materials for the 2nd edition of the WHO “Essential Newborn Care Course”. She also collaborated with the Chiesi Foundation for the NEST (“Neonatal Essential Survival Technology”) project in francophone African countries. She is currently doing her PhD project on a multicountry multicentered quality improvement before and after study on Empowering Parents of newborns in the NICU (EPiNICU) involving Italy, Tanzania, Brazil and Sri Lanka. She published more than 50 papers indexed in PubMed. She is part of the Istitutional Review Board of the Institute. Since 2021 she is the “ad interim” responsible for the Follow-Up Service for preterm babies at IRCSS Burlo Garofolo.
